WEEK ONE: Atea Findings

WEEK ONE DELIVEREABLES

Atea - what is it?

Field Hospital, Libyan Desert, 1943 by Cecil Beaton in my opinion perfectly demonstrates the presence of Atea. Beaton has captured a moment of meeting between many objects; the doctor's hand and patients foot, the doctor and patient themselves, possibly a moment of eyes meeting of the Doctor and someone unseen and all created in a space of a 'field hospital'. Conveyed through the expression of the doctor you can almost feel the panic and tension filling that space and the idea that this meeting is not a desired one.
